Restaurant Week runs August 24–30, 2026 across DC.
Restaurant Week is one of the few times each year visitors can experience Michelin-starred restaurants for a fixed price that's often significantly lower than the regular menu.
If you're staying at one of our Capitol Hill homes, three Michelin-starred restaurants are a 10-minute ride or less — and a few are extending their deals well past the official week.
Traveling with a big group? Book the 7BR DC Convention Center House. Smaller crew or a couple's trip? The 4BR DC Garden Level Suite is the better fit.
Every August, the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington opens up the city's best kitchens at a fraction of the usual price — three-course menus for $40 to $65 at dinner, $25 to $35 for brunch and lunch.
Here's where to eat, closest first.
⭐ The Dabney — 1 Michelin Star
~ 14 min walk or 5 min Uber
Tucked into Blagden Alley, The Dabney cooks Mid-Atlantic ingredients over a wood-burning hearth. Chef Jeremiah Langhorne built his reputation on sourcing directly from regional farmers and watermen — this is the most distinctly "DC" meal on the list, and the closest one to the house.
⭐ Elcielo D.C. — 1 Michelin Star
~20 min walk or 8 min Uber
Elcielo's Restaurant Week menu is a three-course introduction to their signature Taste Me tasting experience — modern Colombian cooking, $65 per person. Their offer runs the entire month of August (Aug 1–30), so it's an easy one to build a full trip around rather than one specific night.
⭐ Bresca — 1 Michelin Star
~ 30 min walk or 10 min Uber
Chef Ryan Ratino's Parisian-bistro-meets-Mid-Atlantic menu has held a Michelin star every year since opening. Bresca is extending its Restaurant Week pricing through August 31 — $65 for three courses, $95 for five — so you've got more flexibility here than almost anywhere else on this list. It's also the only one on the list you can walk to if you'd rather skip the ride.
Planning Your Restaurant Week
Reservations at the Michelin spots fill fast, especially for Friday and Saturday dinner. A few pointers:
- Book early — some restaurants open reservations weeks ahead of the official start date
- Go in a group and order different dishes and share so everyone gets to experience more of the menu
- Check each restaurant's own site, not just the RAMW listing — several are extending their offers beyond the official week, and terms vary
- Leave time — several of these are tasting-format menus meant to be lingered over, not rushed
Where to Stay
Both Cheerful Stays homes near Capitol Hill put you closer to this list than almost anywhere else you could book in the city. From either one, you can:
- Reach all three Michelin-starred restaurants on this list in 10 minutes or less by Uber
- Walk to the Convention Center in about 15–20 minutes
- Skip DC parking entirely — no garage fees, no circling the block after dinner
- Come home to a quiet, private space instead of a hotel hallway
Bigger group, reunion, or celebrating together?
The 7BR DC Convention Center House sleeps the whole crew under one roof — no splitting up across hotel rooms, no separate keys to coordinate.
Couple's trip, small group, or just want more privacy?
The 4BR DC Garden Level Suite is the right size, with its own entrance and the same unbeatable location.
Whether you're here for Restaurant Week, a Capitol Hill weekend, or just an excuse to eat your way through the city's best kitchens, you'll be a short ride from all of it.
